Surprisingly I really enjoyed this as not my usual read. My Sister and I watched a “Christmas at Highclere Castle” episode and so I was keen to read this and quite enjoyed it.

This book was from our school library so not perhaps my usual pick. I found the voice supposedly of a 26yr old hard to believe seemingly more of an older woman to me. It was hard going and I wouldn’t really recommend it. Perhaps the clue may have been in that I am only the second borrower in 6 years.

You know that a book is good when you find yourself dwelling on the storyline while doing mundane tasks. Great story with believable characters which I loved. I will be looking for more from this author.
