A really ecelctic mix of stories, so some I loved and some not so much...
Story is based around friends at a backyard barbecue and there is a tragic incident. It does follow the point-of-view of different characters and dissects their lives in lots of detail, and it has a plot twist at the end. But, I didn't enjoy this as much as Liane Moriarty's other books.
I've enjoyed lots of other books by this author as they are funny, light, entertaining reads, but I read this book just a week after the author died from a brain tumour, and discovered that this short novel is based on her own experiences with cancer. It was a sad, sweet book.
The review said "An enchanting novel about a pair of long-lost childhood friends who find themselves magically linked through origami flowers as adults." Was an easy read, quite a sweet story.
