I was recommended this novel by a friend. It is a historical fiction and a sequel to the Boy in the Striped Pajamas which I read years ago. This book was a very engaging and easy read . It is told from the perspective of Bruno's sister many years later, with themes of the long-term impacts of the Holocaust.

I originally read this series in 2018 but decided to give it a reread as part of the challenge as an NZ author book. These are very easy reads and I enjoyed the cult/religion theme as something different from what I usually read. Just as good as when I first read it!
