Number 12 in the Myron Bolitar series with a wonderful cast of characters, who it was great to catch up with. Next stop "Win", a book dedicated to one of the best characters in the series.
In reading this book that seemed a combination of poetry and prose, I felt my heart break for the author and then had it remade later on. It is an incredibly poignant and evocative journey of the grief that comes from losing a pivotal person in your life (in this case her father). Tears and smiles will come from reading this.
Bryson's first travel book and some of the language comes from a different era, that can on occasions cause pause. But for all the comments that can have you wonder about the negativity, there are many that reflect his surprising positivity and love for the land of his birth.
A bit more complex than what Lee would write, less character more plot.
