I’ve been putting off reading this book since about August last year. I originally picked up the ACOTAR series at a time when I wasn’t reading regularly, and I needed something completely absorbing to hook me back in. The first three books did exactly that, I adored them, and I even convinced a few others to dive into the series with me. This book, though technically tied to the world, feels separate from the original trilogy (and even from the novella). It’s no longer Feyre’s story, and while I appreciated the cameos from much-loved characters, I struggled. Nesta is just so unlikeable that the book sat on my bedside table collecting dust for over a year. If it wasn't for the fact that I've signed up for this reading challenge, it would probably still be there.
