These short stories and poems are often ignored in place of more popular publications such as Treasure Island or Jekyll and Hyde but in my opinion are actually more valid to us as teachers on this side of the world in understanding those first few years of Pacific exposure to the Western world. Especially from an unbiased, non-colonial and completely areligious and objective viewpoint.
