A classic Kate Morton: well developed characters and multiple storylines that all come together seamlessly. There are plenty of red herrings along the way, and the writing is excellent. Despite the ending, I really enjoyed this one … it’s easily one of her best. Don’t read if you dislike books with multiple timelines and characters.
Beautiful writing, interesting culture dive (with consideration of a western author’s point of view). A story about grit and perseverance and hope.
